Well well, if there was ever a time to get your faith up I believe now wouldn’t be a bad time at all. With so many books, podcasts, music and television streaming platforms, YouTube channels, social media outlets, etc all trying to get your attention, which direction does one go?

I say books, books and more books! Whether they are hard covers, soft covers or audibles let’s get a move on! There’s nothing else that truly calms the mind and relaxes the body like a good old heartfelt book that uses your attention to make the magical story unfold in your mind’s eye.

Below are a few steps to get you moving in the right direction during your downtime so you can pick up one of those dusty paperbacks!

  • Give yourself time to create your own personal relaxing downtime.
  • Remove all the ‘extra’ background noise.
  • Shut down all electronics that can beep, buzz, ding or ring.
  • Jump into your most comfy sweatpants.
  • Get snuggled up under the covers.
  • And at last, grab that book that has been awaiting for you to open it. The book that will speak directly to your inner self causing you to think twice why it’s been so long since you’ve reached out to it.

Now that you’re ready to rock and roll into some life changing momentum, here are a few of our favorite books!

1. The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle

This book should be read slowly and always kept close. You will need to pick it back up throughout your life. The knowledge that Tolle bestows upon us, brings us deep into the present moment of the now. He expresses the importance of how the Now is all that truly exist. The past is dead and the future makes no promises. It’s as simple as that. If we can truly step into that truth, that understanding, we can find radical acceptance in every situation without the pain and suffering. As you embark on the journey within, this book is a play by play on how to become your best self in every situation. The presence is where every bit of our power lies.

2. Be Here Now by Ram Dass

You may be catching onto a theme by ‘now’. So the question is, how does one truly understand how much power they have? Well, you can easily start by becoming present in this very moment. What are you doing, what are you hearing, what are you tasting, what are you smelling, what are you feeling, etc. It can start with a simple reflection of oneself in this very moment. This book will help you understand nonattachment and present moment to the absolute truth of everything. Where only love and the vivid present moment exists. It’s filled with gifts of life that live inside each and every one of us. We just need to adjust our mindset, let go of past and future expectations to realize we are all One. Ram Dass will guide you to what happens when you choose to open your eyes and your heart in ways you never knew existed.

3. The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer

Again, this book, like the others, continues to get better as you turn each page. Our soul awaits us. But wait, why didn’t we learn about this when we were small children? Why haven’t we all been taught that we are not our negative emotions, that we are not our circumstances, that we are not our egos or our pains. Singer has a way of drawing out our loose ends so to separate ourselves from what we are actually meant to be. This book helps us realize we are not lacking, but instead once we have the power to move out of our negative thought patterns that hold us back and to step into our true power that has been awaiting us.

Well there you have it. We have given you our top 3 books to start you off in the direction to find harmony with all things.
